For the first time in over a decade, I’ve spent the holiday season in my hometown. It’s been a very special Christmas and we’ll arrive back in Denmark just in time to celebrate New Year’s Eve — or, more realistically, crash into a jet lagged sleep.
The weather was in my favour for most of the time in BC. I had a few good walks along the dyke and into Steveston Village. Some lovely scenic drives along the Fraser river and the Pacific Ocean, with snow-dusted mountains in the background (along with some deeply frustrating traffic — how can a 20-minute journey take an hour an a quarter?!?).
There was a lot of good food and much nibbling. And ice cream cake for dinner one night. Much laughter and games and time spend with loved ones. And I remember to snap a few pictures to capture the holiday spirit.

Season’s greeting to all! I hope you’ve had a memorable and meaningful Christmas and that 2026 brings much ease and happiness. Here’s to joy and in the new year — and all kinds of wonderfulness to come.
