Join Constanza and Laura at Hot Yoga Østerbro (Nordre Frihavnsgade 13, 2100 København Ø) on Sunday, 21 May from 15.00-17.30 for a Restorative Yoga Workshop.
The class will be led by Laura and Constanza, both experienced restorative yoga teachers, and Vidhi will assist. In addition to fully supported restorative yoga poses, including a long savasana, students can expect lots of hands on from the three teachers.
Class size is limited to sixteen students and costs 300 kr, which can be paid via MobilePay or in cash at the workshop.
What is restorative yoga?
Restorative yoga uses many props to fully support the body, which allows the body and mind to relax fully. Poses include gentle twists, soft backbends and soothing seated forward folds and are held for up to 25 minutes. It’s normal to do only four or five poses in a 75 minute restorative yoga class.
Why practice restorative yoga?
Perhaps the best reason to come to a restorative yoga class is that it feels good! The slow movements cultivate space for a deeper experience of the poses and the practice helps mitigate the effects of the regular fight-or-flight stress response that can be damaging to your physiology and well-being. It also provides an excellent opportunity to disconnect from the frenetic activity of daily life.
What experience do Constanza and Laura have with restorative yoga?
Constanza completed Restorative Teacher Training with Triyoga in London, UK and approaches every class with a grounded, healing energy. She practices restorative yoga herself every day and loves the healing it provides.
Laura is a certified Relax and Renew® trainer and studied with Judith Hanson Lasater, who is known as the ‘mother’ of restorative yoga. She has taught restorative yoga since 2012 and loves to attend restorative yoga classes herself.
